Our first Christmas party

Ending the Year Together as a Startup Family

Read time: 1.5 minute

This week, we celebrated a very special milestone at Fixmeapp, our first Christmas party together, hosted at Johanna’s home. For many of us, it was also the first time meeting in real life after working closely as a remote-first team. Despite being spread across different places day to day, this evening reminded us how strong our connection really is.

A Table Full of Cultures

Everyone brought food from their own cultural background, and the result was a table filled with flavors, stories, and traditions from many parts of the world. Sharing food became a simple but powerful way to share who we are, beyond our roles and screens.

From Screen to Smiles

Meeting face-to-face after months of remote work felt natural, warm, and surprisingly easy. Conversations flowed, laughter came quickly, and the sense of being one team became even stronger.

Music, Games, and Togetherness

The evening continued with a music quiz, lots of laughs, and some card games that brought out both competitiveness and teamwork. No work talk, just presence, joy, and connection.

More Than a Start Up

This night wasn’t about growth metrics or roadmaps. It was about people, trust, and the feeling that we’re building something meaningful together. Moments like this are what turn a startup into a community.

As we head toward a new year, we’re grateful for each other and excited for everything we’ll continue to build, both online and in real life.
